The Environment and Electric Vehicle Chargers
Wychcroft is committed to protecting the local and global environment through responsible and effective management, minimising any negative impact and maximising opportunities to enhance the local environment in which we operate. To help achieve this we are committed to the following.
- Recycling of all packaging that we are able to do so.
- Food waste is kept separate and collected by our waste collection company for use in bio energy.
- Uncooked waste vegetable and salad products are placed in our own composting bins.
- For hygiene purposes, in our bedrooms, we do provide wrapped plastic cups. However, these are to be phased out.
- For reservations we now use a web-based booking system, which has enabled us to vastly reduce the amount of paper we consume.
- 100% of our bedlinen, which is sent off for cleaning, is cleaned using an eco-friendly cleaning company. This service uses non-toxic biodegradable chemicals, which means that it’s not only kinder to the environment, but also kinder to all our linen too.
- Our in-house cleaning is done using products produced only 23 miles away, reducing our carbon footprint.
- Our fresh food products are also sourced locally, our fruit and vegetables are with 15 miles, and our fresh meat within 12 miles.
Electric Vehicle Chargers
- We have installed two electric vehicle charging points. These are chargeable via our own portal. If you require the use of one of these chargers, please ask on arrival and we will provide access.
